I have TV. I have e-mail computer. And I have all this stuff that I don’t know what to do with. House to apartment. The living space is the same but we have no storage space. Today’s mission. The same as the last four days. Get organized. We are going out today to buy things to help us organize. And an air conditioner. Of course I am excited.

I had a kick ass Fourth of July. Big ups to Dirt’s family for letting it rip. Thanks to marriage, affairs with Dirt’s family now have an international flavor. I got to eat egg rolls and hotdogs yesterday. That is called large living. Although I hate fireworks and eating outdoors, I love the Fourth of July. I think that it is the sight of all those people walking though the darkness after the fireworks pulling wagons. For some reason, I like that. I also like warm weather. So there you go. The Fourth of July is a hillbilly holiday – no doubt about it. But what holiday is not a hillbilly holiday in Cleveland, OH? Trick question.

I have yet to go down to the Grog Shop for the big last weekend. I have just been too tired. There is nothing I would like more than to see Disengage tonight but I just don’t know if I can do it. If somebody picked me up I would be happy to be dragged along but I don’t know I have it in me to get in the Eurowagon and drive down there. Why is that? I have many memories of the Grog Shop. The Revelers started playing there right after Quazimodo told them that there was this new place to play that was just as good as the Babylon A-Go-Go (RIP). The Revelers played at the Grog Shop 30 (thirty) times between 1994 and 1999. I did not keep records for 1993. I was there for all thirty shows – playing bongos for a good chunk of them. I also played bongos at the Grog Shop with Bill Fox once and recently played drums with Sleepy Kid. Memories. I have a ton of them. Of course my favorite band that I ever saw at the Grog Shop was the New Salem Witch Hunters. No question about it. And my favorite memory of the Grog Shop is pounding a twelve pack of Keystone Light with Thea in the Reveler’s van during the sweltering heat of some summer back in the day. You see. We had to pound them because it was so damned hot and you did not want the beer to get warm. When we got out of the van – which was like an oven – the hot air of summer hit us. It felt good. Even though it was super hot outside. Because it was not as hot as the van. We sweated the beer out in front of the stage. And rocked out. And that is my favorite memory of the Grog Shop.

I snuck into work after hours to check my e-mails and BLOG. I have been unloading crap for the last two days. I am pretty whipped. I have no television, e-mail computer or phone at my new house yet. What does that mean? Not much. The move went smooth. I would like to thank everybody who helped. What a fucking great group of people. They help move, bring their own beer and then leave before eating any pizza. Wow. I am a lucky bastard. Really. No High on Fire for me tonight. I am too tired to rock out. I am all thrashed out. I am going home to crash. I just thought I would check in to say that everything is going great and thank you for caring.
