No Led Zeppelin on DVD. I had a day of full activity instead. We showed the house four times today which meant we had to run around all day in order that the prospective buyers can look at the house in peace. That is hard with a busted up shoulder. We went to a couple of bookstores, grocery shopping and to see the movie “A Mighty Wind”. It was funny but not as funny as “Best in Show”, “Waiting for Guffman” or “Spinal Tap”. That is to be expected but it was still good. We have been home for a couple of hours just kicking back. I am going to go wash up and then I think that I am going to hit the rack for the night. That means no Keelhaul and 9 Shocks Terror at the Grog Shop. I am sorry. Getting hit by a car takes a lot out of you.
Big ups again to my wife for doing everything to get the house ready and then putting up with a crabby gimped up me on top of it. Big ups to everybody else I talked to about what happened. Thank you all for acting impressed. Hit by car. Worse than it sounds.

I had the day off today. I slept in. Big Sleepy Kid show last night at the Beachland. My snare drum broke. Thanks to everybody who came out. Today. I read the paper. I listened to Free. Free rules. Paul Rodgers is the ultimate rock vocalist. I went running. It was another bad run. Probably too much second hand smoke last night and not enough sleep. I got hit by a car walking across Clifton Blvd. after my run. I got to ride in an ambulance. If I had a nickel for every time somebody told me “Don’t move” today, I would have enough money to buy more Free records. I am pretty banged up. And I guess in a lot of pain. I will find out on Monday if I have to get surgery on my shoulder that is currently in a sling and not moving except to jump out of the socket or something. Big up to everybody at Lakewood Hospital who got me out of there fast and listened to me do my Baby Fea impersonation. Big ups to my wife who was totally clutch in a bad situation. Big downs to the guy who hit me and the Cleveland Police officer who said that accidents happen while I had one of those things on my neck.
Tomorrow, I am going to watch five hours of Led Zeppelin on DVD and take pain pills. Goodnight.

I think that I am going to have to start eating better. I am running like crap. I think that I have been getting enough sleep and the house isn’t wearing me out that bad so it has to be the eating. Nutrition. It must be a priority.
One of the benefits of my job is that I can sit on the phone all day bullshitting with people. I talk to Baby Fea all the time on the clock and have friends and relatives all over the country who I keep in touch with while doing mindless data entry on the computer. I spent a lot of time on the phone today. Rapping. Catching up. Shooting the shit. Getting deep. Do you know how many times a week I talk to Joel Kaufman (ex-Revelers) who relocated to Washington, DC after the band broke up? Don’t tell anybody but the answer is many. That is great. Put one in the why I like my job column. There are also people that I work with and used to work with that I keep in constant contact with. Inside jokes. Talking shit. Badmouthing. Gossip. It is wonderful. I keep a large and very active rock and roll web. I recommend you do the same. I am planning on taking Friday off because I need to recover after the Lilys/Sleepy Kid show tomorrow at the Beachland. My goal is to stay off the phone tomorrow because I need to get some work done if I am going to do that. We will see. I doubt I will be able to do it (the phone is right there) but I am planning on it though.

If you are looking to buy a piece of the Assholier than Thou Good Times Happy Friends Monday Morning Radio Show history, you might have to act fast. The house that I have been bitching about for the last three years went on the market today and the first potential buyers are looking at it tomorrow morning. I spent today getting the house ready to show like I have since Laurie and I got back from the Chicago, IL Guided by Voices show in April. It seems like only yesterday... Or last month. Or really yesterday which is what I did with my Memorial Day besides help my parents paint their garage and eat. Man, was that fun. I just spent the last hour cleaning my basement and rocking out to the brand new Led Zeppelin 3CD live set “How the West was Won”. So far, disk one is a smoker. I threw so many shapes, you would have thought I was in studio with Judas Priest. Now, I am going to bed. I have some last minute things to do to the house tomorrow before work and I need some sleep. Goodnight.

Where did today go? I don’t know. Don’t ask me. Practice. Running around. Running some more. It is over.
I don’t feel like getting up for the Assholier than Thou Good Times Happy Friends Monday Morning Radio Show tomorrow morning. I feel like phoning one in. Who came up with that one? Who came up with phoning it in? It does not matter. Whatever. I am sure I will be fine once I am at the radio station. I am sure it will be OK. Not that it matters. Monday holiday equals no listeners. Oh well. I am going to bed. Goodnight.
